Living Architecture and Dutch firm MVRDV, present the design for the Balancing Barn, a cantilevered holiday home near the village of Thorington in Suffolk.
From the road, the barnisalmost invisible; the front being only 7 metres wide, with a pitched roof, faces the long straight driveway approach, suggesting a small house with a traditional shape. The volume, however, has a length of 30 metres.

Answer: Epsom salt is a good source for the trace nutrients magnesium and sulfur. Late in the season tomatoes and pepper plants may start to show signs of deficiencies, such as leaves yellowing between the veins and a decrease in fruit production. This looks similar to blight, but blight will appear as blotchy brown spots on the leaves and stems.

John Clarke Mills has been updating us on the progress of his creation of a Victorian style library for the 1890s San Francisco Victorian home hes been renovating. The library is done and it looks great. I followed this project with keen interest because I have fantasies about doing a Victorian/steampunk number on my library one day. Love the library ladder.

Just back from a great trip to upstate New York, where I went to visit herbalgalpal and fellow gardener, Gert Coleman. The house is build with modern open-space entirely covered with recycled wood inside and out. Efficient LED lighting system reduces energy consumption. Inspired by sustainability issues, this house is expended to horizon and nature.

The architects designed a modern open plan space which houses a living area, gourmet kitchen that is equipped with upscale stainless steel appliances, bar and a video hall.
